Well done to our intermediate side who had a hard fought win against a determined Southern Gaels team in Shandonagh on friday night. Playing against a slight wind in the 1st half our lads took a while to settle into the game but finished the half well and a well taken goal by neal had us up by a goal 1.11 to 0.11 at the break. We came out of the blocks fast in the second half and sone great scores from Sean, Neal P, Conor and Fergal had us in a strong Position heading for the finish line but southern gaels never gave up and and after scoring a few frees a long ball finished to the net and suddenly the game was level with 3 minutes left. In fairness to our lads they stayed calm and sean grabbed the game by the scruff of the neck and scored 2 great points.. although Southern Gaels scored a late free to set up a tense finish our lads held on for a gutsy win. Final Score 1-20 to 1-19
