MINOR CHAMPIONSHIP

We travelled to Turin on Thursday evening to take on Na Piarsiag in the 3rd Round of the Championship. Playing against a stiff breeze on the 1st half we were slow in getting into the game and were reliant on placed balls to keep us close to the opposition but the all important score for us a great goal from Mikey along with some mighty defending left us behind by the minimum at the interval 1-10 to 1-9.We were much better in the 2nd period and we took the game to Na Piarsiag and again with Dylan been very accurate on placed balls,great defensive work and Mikey Divine getting 2 more majors for a sublime hat-trick we ran out 5 point winners .This was a great panel effort with every lad playing their part and leaves us 2nd in the table with 2 wins and a draw.We play Clan Na Gael in the next round in 2 weeks.Panel..Daire Fagan,Oisin McCabe,David O Malley, James Connolly, Cian Corcoran,Paddy Maloney, Conor Maloney, Eoin Carey, Shane Maloney(0-1),Darragh Mulligan, Dylan Corrigan(0-13),Rory Quinn,Sean Bolger,Aaron Jackson, Mikey Divine(3-2),Shane Carey(0-1)Ricky Loran, Fionn Jackson, Billy Whelan,Cillian Clarke.
