INTERMEDIATE CHAMPIONSHIP

We played the final group game of the Championship last Saturday evening in Cusack Park against table toppers Turin.With a semi final spot secured we had the luxury of resting a few of our usual starters for this match and get important game time into a few players and it was Turin who had the better of the opening half in which they found the net just before the interval to give them a lead of 1-10 to 7 at the half time whistle.The 2nd half was very similar to the 1st and although we got back into the contest with the help of an opportunist goal from Conall Turin had a purple patch in the last 10 minutes hitting the last 5 scores to give them a comfortable winners.We now set ourselves up for a semi final in 3 weeks against our neighbours St Brigids who were the only other team to beat us in the group stages.
